With three location changes in the height of a pandemic, Wanderlust Wedding was still able to make this couple’s destination wedding dreams come true without a hitch. With original plans for a wedding in France, the talented team was able to bring French touches to Italy’s Lake Como and the result is nothing short of magical. Swoon-worthy florals by Sisters & Blush Floral Design are the exclamation point on an endlessly elegant day. It was all artfully captured in the beautiful imagery by David Bastianoni. From Wanderlust Wedding… Marina and Cyril had been planning their wedding for more than a year, initially, it was supposed to be held in France, however, in January we quickly realized it was going to be complicated because of the pandemic as Switzerland had strict rules for people flying to France. After a few days of doubts, Italy announced that they were reopening to weddings and Swiss nationals could come in easily so we started looking for a venue and found the beautiful Villa Balbiano.
Since the wedding was initially supposed to be held in France, we decided to bring France to Lake Como, creating a French garden decor inspired by the Chanel Haute Couture Spring-summer 2018 show at Le Grand Palais in Paris. It matched perfectly with the vibe of Villa Balbiano, and especially with Marina’s beautiful Monique L’Huillier dress.
The result was more perfect than what we could’ve ever dreamt of. A beautiful, elegant, natural yet classy wedding, with French touches.
