Coastal Cool Overlooking Newport Harbor

Soft blues and greens layered with natural elements are giving us the coastal cool vibes we can’t get enough of at this Newport wedding. Henderson Weddings and Events planned a day with a touch of ocean and floral elements, in the couple’s green and blue color palette, that wonderfully weave throughout the entirety of the wedding. Flowers by Botanica Wedding Floral were the real showstopper of the event, starting with the ceremony arch framing the couple and Narragansett Bay and ending with a reception filled with farm tables covered in lush white flowers with a hint of light blue. From the couple… Our relationship began with a couple of clicks on a dating app, but then we really ‘clicked’ after our first phone conversation on a rainy Friday night – it lasted 3 hours! This was during the early days of the pandemic, but without the distraction of our usual social lives, we were able to really focus on one another and learn how much we had in common.

We couldn’t think of a better place than Newport in September to celebrate with our friends and family. We have a home in Newport and my sister and nephew, the adorable ring bearer, also live there. For guests, it was a chance to finally do a bit of traveling and enjoy the coast and everything Newport has to offer.

The Eisenhower House was the perfect spot for a tent and has the quintessential backdrop of Narragansett Bay and the Newport Bridge. In fact, the Eisenhower House served as the summer White House of President Eisenhower from 1958-1960, a fitting choice since the groom’s birthday happens to be on President’s Day.
