A Botanical-Focused, European Garden Wedding at Kestrel Park

When Michelle and Milton’s plans of an Italian destination wedding came to a screeching halt all thanks to COVID, they decided to move their nuptials closer to home – at a venue that’s just about as close to Italy as you can get here in the States, the unmistakable Kestrel Park. The two tied the knot in a whimsical fairytale ceremony brimming with blue ethically sourced butterflies and blooms by Nicole Chapman Design. From the custom photo-booth to a one-of-a-kind escort card display, LVL Weddings & Events truly thought of everything to make this couple’s dream a reality. From LVL Weddings & Events… Michelle and Milton originally planned to have their wedding in Italy. All the plans were set, travel booked then COVID happened and they lost all their deposits and were devastated. After they had time to process everything that happened they started thinking about plan B and decided to move their wedding to Southern California where Michelle grew up. They wanted to keep the same European etherial feel so when they came across Kestrel Park they didn’t even hesitate. It was the perfect picturesque backdrop to their vision.

So when looking for a floral designer to execute this vision it was an easy decision to hire Nicole Chapman Design. She incorporated a soft whimsical pastel color palette paired with ethically sourced butterflies, bees and silk ribbon and created a living sweetheart table for the bride and groom.

There were so many design highlights it is hard to pick just one but some of the couple’s favorites included:

Favor Flower Press Bar: Since pansies weren’t in season and they were the bride’s favorite flower they brought in the talented MaeLily Design Studio and they created the most beautiful Pressed Flower Art for their guests to take home as favors.

Custom Photobooth: The couple are so in love with their two pups that we wanted a special place for them at the wedding so we designed a custom photo booth wrap where they took center stage

The wedding cake was designed by Jasmine Rae Cakes and it was the talk of the reception. It was so thoughtfully designed to mimic butterfly wings and the whimsical nature of the wedding and Jasmine Rae and Nicole Chapman collaborated on bringing this design focal point together for the wedding day.
