This multicultural wedding has not one but two ceremonies! The best part? From beginning to end, the carefully curated details designed with the help of Madix & Co are the epitome of elegance. When blending two cultures, and two personalities, our couple made sure even the cocktails were a perfect mix- featuring both Indian favorites for the bride and Maryland and Spanish flavors to highlight the groom’s background. From the bride… We met at work, where we had the great fortune of drawing offices next to each other. What started as an innocent coffee walk eventually became daily or semi-daily coffee dates and we were eventually inseparable.

On a Sunday, we drove up to Napa to get some “us time” in. Once we got to the winery, they walked us down to a secluded olive grove rather than the usual picnic table areas. We got down to the olive grove and I started telling Alek a story when I realized he wasn’t listening to a word I was saying, he knew I was catching on and wanted to pop the question while it was still a surprise.

For our wedding, we really wanted something elegant and classic that also mixed our two cultures and our two personalities. It was so important to us to have that cross-cultural theme in every part of our day – from the décor to the invitation suite to the food and everything in between.
