After the pandemic postponed their original plans of international nuptials, today’s beautiful couple decided they couldn’t wait any longer to call each other husband and wife. So, they tied the knot in front of their closest loved ones in Naples, Florida – where the bride’s family has vacationed together for years. The bride absolutely took our breath away in a chic Oscar De La Renta gown, with a bouquet by Kaleidoscope Floral that deserves its own standing ovation. From The Bride… Michael and I had just started talking to a wedding planner about potentially doing a wedding in Europe for Summer 2020 and then COVID hit so we put that on hold, and kept putting it on hold as COVID dragged on.
In November, we were with family and discussing Christmas plans. My family has been going to Naples for the holidays for the last few years and had already planned (pre-COVID) that Michael’s family would join us this year. The Christmas discussion somehow turned into a wedding discussion and I think it was my dad who suggested that we just get married while we were all down there over the holidays – and the more we thought about it the more we loved that idea.
Naples had become a special place for us, both of our parents and siblings would already be there. The first Christmas our families were spending together turned into a wedding—it just felt right. We knew everything could be outdoors weather wise, and that was enough for us to start. We were lucky that a few close friends were also able to join. We put it all together in the next six weeks and officially got married on January 1, 2021.
