From Peony Park Photography... Japanese wedding attire is actually a rarity being featured anywhere in major wedding publications within the United States. Thus the project began with a vendor team who are mostly Japanese or Taiwanese Americans! Tradition is something that reminds us of where we came from and it's a solid foundation of how our culture was formed.
The white kimono is the formal wedding attire for the bride to wear during the ceremony and the red kimono is for her to wear during the reception. The groom can wear the black wedding kimono throughout the entire wedding day if he chose to, there are times the groom switch to a tux/suit for the wedding reception.
For the color scheme, we aimed for white, light peach, and green to mesh well with the colorful evening gown that the bride wears for the reception. We are very proud that we can come together and celebrate the Japanese culture in a way that everybody can admire and appreciate the true beauty.
