This Garden Chic Wedding Was Held At A Mountain Base
Jessica and Eddie welcomed guests to the bride's family home at the base of Mount Si for a weekend that no one will soon forget. The couple had a chic and minimal vibe at the core of their wedding aesthetic and worked with Event Planning and Wedding Design Company Elle and James Co. to bring her vision to life. The mother of the Bride, an avid gardener, manicured the property specifically for this event and began growing the flowers in the field months in advance to coordinate with the look of the naturally grown wildflower design by Gather Design Company. When planning their wedding, from the very beginning one thing was clear, Jess wanted to honor her parents and the wonderful childhood she had growing up in North Bend, WA by hosting their loved ones at the Hargett Family home. Located at the base of Mount Si, Jessica’s inspiration was drawn largely from images she had seen of weddings taking place in distant travel locations like New Zealand, Australia, and Big Sur.
Rather than holding a micro ceremony, they adhered to the safety protocols while continuing with full tablescapes and increasing the decor elements in order to create the illusion of fully seated tables, but with spaced out chairs to maintain social distance. Their guests sat by household in clusters for the ceremony and florals were hand “planted” in the ground around each pod to bring the illusion of guests seated amidst growing wildflowers.
Jessica and Ed knew their guest list would look a bit different than originally planned, but from the moment their wedding began to the very last dance of the night, love was present in every moment and it truly felt like the perfect day.
