Embracing Big and Bold Colors With the Pantone Color of the Year for These Intimate Northern California Nuptials

There is something to be said about neutral color palettes (they are a personal fave of mine) BUT sometimes a bold color like a marigold yellow, can really set the mood for your day and I am loving the way Sparkle and Dust Events incorporated it into this inspiration shoot perfectly! From the stationery by Sablewood Paper Co. to the hints of yellow in the floral design by Fig & Vine Floral Design to even the linens, the color was carried through the day from start to finish. Take a look below at Ash Baumgartner‘s stunning photos and all the magic she captured at Park Winters!

From Ash BaumgartnerIn the heart of California’s Northern Region lies Park Winters – an intimate private estate venue lush with green gardens, romantic California light, and a pleasant ivory tower, perfect for nuptials of all styles and aesthetics. But what really brings the beauty of the secret gardens and the golden state’s natural facades to life is color – the Pantone Color of the year to be precise, a pop of Illuminating marigold mixed with an assortment of Pantone pinks to complement. And that is exactly what Sparkle and Dust Events brought to life – a playful and romantic color combination that embraced big and bold colors for intimate Northern California nuptials between Ricky and Elijah on a beautiful, yet windy spring day.

Integrating the Pantone color of the year, Illuminating, in a luxurious yet lovely way was the key focal point of the design by Sparkle and Dust Events. From flowing marigold linens on the intimate reception space to pops of Illuminating throughout the floral design by Fig and Vine, a little ray of color sunshine spread its beauty in this inspirational editorial.

As guests arrived at the gardens of Park Winters to see Ricky and Elijah tie the knot, they were greeted with the warmth of the California light, a view onto the venue’s garden labyrinth, and a joyful celebration of two in love as they read personal vows to each other. They knew they were in for no shortage of color based on the beautiful and unique invitation suite by Sablewood Paper Co., complete with marigold and pink details, a custom wax seal, and unconventional shapes. As the ceremony ended, guests perused over to Park Winters’ patio to be greeted with three signature cocktails special to the bride and groom from Bottle and Barlow. Delicious passed appetizers from Pita Kitchen Plus making the rounds to ensure guests were satiated before dinner and dancing. As guests enjoyed their eats and drinks, the couple snuck away to a private lounge near Park Winters’ iconic fountain – a luscious pink velvet couch dripping in florals, perfect for two and a moment for romantic relaxation.

To guide guests to their intimate dinner reception stood an escort display full of love – quite literally lined with beautiful flowers, loving aromas, and a headline declaring Love Me Wild by Fig and Olive Designs. As guests took their seats on Park Winters’ outdoor patio strung with cafe lights, the wind died down and they could enjoy their intimate dinner complete with ghost chairs, custom calligraphy place cards, and bountiful and illuminating florals. The guests were stunned come dessert to see a two-tiered beauty of a cake hanging from the venue’s iconic door arch to the relaxation area dripping in floral and greenery.

While the marigold and pink details were intertwined throughout the day’s inspirational design, nothing wowed more than the couple themselves in stunning ensembles. The bride Ricky was clothed in a stunning sweetheart-lined Beccar Couture gown from Grace and White Bridal with classically romantic hair and makeup by Kourtney Madore and Saja Daood respectively. Light touches of diamonds and romance traced her fingertips and wrist from Sharif Jewelers. And her groom Elijah, the love of her life, surprised her with a classically chic pink tuxedo from Tuxedo Den. Adorned with bountiful florals from Fig and Vine, the two stunned guests with their illuminating beauty.

Captured by film photographer Ash Baumgartner and cinematographer Taylor Petrinovich resulted in an illuminating day full of inspiration for couples looking to incorporate the Pantone color of the year, Illuminating in a romantic and luxurious way.
