Planning a wedding amidst a pandemic isn’t easy, but this couple created the most beautiful of days despite the circumstances. The couple exchanged vows at an intimate ceremony at Ivory Oak, and instead of a traditional reception, they celebrated by dancing under hanging lights and oak trees. The ever-talented J’Marie Designs created sweet floral moments in shades of white and blush. The joy of the day radiates in the imagery by Bear Moose & Fox. You’ll fall in love with every inch of this celebration in the full gallery.
From the bride… Wykeyhe and I met at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He was the star wide receiver on the football team, and I played volleyball. Our first date was to a movie followed by Whataburger and it was so easy to be comfortable with each other. Eventually, I couldn’t help but fall in love with his effortless charm and loving heart.
Years later we planned our wedding in the middle of a global pandemic. Although we had never imagined a wedding during times like this, we knew it would be safest to cancel our reception
and limit our guest count. In the end, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Our favorite moment from our wedding day was having our first dance underneath the oaks trees and hanging lights. We were surrounded by our closest family and friends on one of the most wonderful days of our lives. All that we needed that day was each other, so neither of us minded the adversity that had to be faced.
