With a home reminiscent of the English countryside and a theme of flowers, flowers, and more flowers- you know this wedding is going to be good! The pandemic caused Lisa and Jordan to change their original plans for a large wedding. Instead, the couple turned to the ever-talented Tessa Lyn Events to throw an intimate backyard bash that was nothing short of spectacular. Mark’s Garden was sure to incorporate floral moments in every aspect of the day, from 80 individual roses hanging from the tree where the ceremony was held to a Porsche overflowing with blooms! Jenna Rose Photography exquisitely captured the love, romance, and intimacy of the day in her imagery. Visit the full gallery for a closer look.
From the bride… My Dad is 89-years-old and has Parkinson’s disease. We chose our original venue because it was local and easy for him to travel to and we were highly motivated to get married in April 2020. We went from postponing (four times) due to Covid, to finally canceling, to then deciding to host a micro wedding in the backyard. Having a wedding in 2021 or 2022 was not an option for us so the backyard became our wedding venue!
I refer to this pivot as our rebrand! Our vibe went from beachy chic to Father of the Bride garden party soiree! We did everything we could to create an event that was safe for our guests and vendors. We invited only immediate family and our closest friends, who made up our bridal party. Before and after our rebrand, my goal remained unchanged in that I wanted to have a fabulous party where everyone had a great time.
Through this whole process, I realized what was the most important to me and it was not having a big production event with hundreds of people, but that it was more important to be surrounded by my closest friends and making sure that we could celebrate this milestone moment with my family.
