We are always the first to say that getting married represents a major milestone in the life of a couple. It’s the next step, a new and uncharted chapter to embark on together, and one of the most ‘adult’ things you’ve probably done, so far (of course, there are a lot of them that come after turning 18!). An engagement is certainly a turning point for the two of you, and one that’s completely deserving of all the fanfare, celebration, and excitement that comes after that ring, but it’s important to recognize that an impending wedding also earmarks a change in your relationships with the first loves of your life - parents, siblings, cousins, and best friends from the beginning, etc. And when such a time is upon you, taking a moment to love on those VIPs and thank them for everything they’ve done in the past, are doing at present, and will do in the future is so special.
