This Wedding In The Timbering Redwoods Will Take Your Breath Away
Are you dreaming of a wedding in the woods? This ceremony amongst the timbering redwoods is sure to take your breath away. Simone Lennon Events designed and produced a wildly romantic and glamorous day in the great outdoors. After the couple exchanged vows, guests strolled down a pathway flanked by lavender bushes to the iconic barn at Santa Lucia Preserve. Inside the space, Charlotte & Daughters created a floral explosion with blooms dripping from three staggering chandeliers overhead. Jessica and Trip have a tremendous love for the redwoods and being by the ocean so choosing The Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel Valley was the perfect location as it married both worlds. They exchange their vows in a redwood cathedral draped with ethereal greenery and white blossoms.
A warm afternoon in August was the perfect time of year to host a cocktail hour in the garden. With sunflowers standing over 10 feet tall, trellises full of climbing roses, and tons of other foliage covering the grounds, it all made for a beautiful scene for guests to meander around chatting over small bites and specialty cocktails.
The bride's favorite color is blue so we designed the long kings tables to feature the perfect hue while incorporating French lace inspired white china for each place setting accented with traditional menus that included each guest's name hand-written in romantic calligraphy. We decided to suspend three staggering floral chandeliers covered in white blossoms and greenery for guests to dance under all night to add a little wow factor.
