You’re going to want to check it out below…I promise you!
From Angelika Johns…We envisioned this couple to have a romantic, sophisticated, and whimsical European inspired micro-wedding in the spring with modern touches. We mixed romantic European architecture with soft colors and intentional details to execute this look.
We wanted colorful spring florals for this look, which included roses, lisianthus’, carnations, anemones, and delphiniums. In addition to a traditional bouquet, our other bride would want a more untraditional floral piece to hold so we made a beautiful floral fan to keep her cool as Virginia temperatures increase in the spring.
For the sweetheart tablescape, we selected crushed taffeta linen in ivory and draped it with a blush table runner. To complement the gorgeous outdoor courtyard space, we used honey colored rattan charger plates with varying textured ivory colored dinner and salad plates. We completed the look with blush napkins, champagne colored flatware, clear stemware, and the wedding bouquet placed decoratively at the head of the table.
For the invitation suite, we drew inspiration from Morais Vineyards and their Portuguese background. A textural floral motif was applied to handmade paper, inspired by ornamental accents on the front of the building, and paired with a romantic/whimsical calligraphy style. The plaster element was continued on the menus in modern and playful strokes, meant to mimic the petals of spring florals.
