Ahhh, Montauk in the summer – I mean really is there anything better?! I think not. We’ll be sitting here daydreaming all week long about today’s swoon-worthy summer soirée, reminding us that warmth on the East Coast is actually a thing (while it sure feels impossible to conceive of right now!) With planning help from All Who Wander Events, these two pulled off their dream elegant wedding at a private estate out east – all in a matter of weeks! Just wait until you see how gorgeous it is. From the Bride… After a year plus of planning the “dream” wedding we had always imagined, it was hard to wrap our heads around the idea that that dream might just have to wait. But, while Covid threw a wrench in our original plans, it presented us with an opportunity that is now one of our fondest, and most cherished, memories.
Once it became clear that the large wedding we were planning wasn’t going to take place anytime soon, all we could focus on was just getting married. In a few short weeks, we pulled together the things that were most important to making that happen – finding a church, coordinating with our immediate families, and getting the dress and suit tailored in record time ;)
All of the vendors that we still have booked for the big day totally rallied around us and jumped at the opportunity to make this “mini-mony” as special as it could be. When it came to design, simple was the name of the game. I wanted a no-fuss, no-stress day and, luckily I already had a vision of what I wanted the design elements to look like. We followed the general design plan that we are still hoping to use one day at a large reception, but ultimately we were blessed with a beautiful, sunny, July day in Montauk and that is truly what made the day so perfect. Looking back, I now can’t imagine getting married any other way.
