From Novalee Events Co… Having been intrigued by Nemacolin’s Chateau Lafayette for its dignified aesthetic, we sought to illustrate our editorial story in this unparalleled setting as it resonated with discernment and timelessness. Where stately elegance is in abundance, the Chateau Lafayette is fittingly embellished with coffered ceilings, distinguished ornate details, and grand crystal chandeliers. Ultimately, our focus was to capture the sensual love between a sophisticated bride and groom while incorporating subtle yet opulent European details.
The Clémence from The Lace Atelier was chosen for its delicate silhouettes and labyrinthine lace details. The soon-to-be bride radiated with a relaxed sophistication and a refined sensuality as she gazed upon the Lafayette Gardens from her regal suite while sipping her tea from a Versace Medusa Gala cup that is known for its opulence. Before being adorned by the bride, the Milla Nova wedding gown from Bridal Beginning was proudly displayed on a mirror of grandeur that was laced in gold-intricate detail. Completed in beautiful mikado fabric, the graceful gown was chosen for its flawless and classic design as it truly resonated with a blend of timelessness with haute couture fashion for the discerning bride-to-be.
Handcrafted in luxe embossed leather, the understated Jimmy Choo bridal shoes enhanced the bride’s refined aesthetic. The design inspiration for the intimate nuptials was to design asymmetrical floral columns that were romantic and organically defined. The Lafayette Gardens served as the centerpiece for our intimate dining table. Overflowing with blousy blooms and delicate textures, the inspiration behind the florals was to curate a design that would emulate flowers growing right out of the table—where you might even find butterflies gliding above the cappuccino garden roses or the white O’Hara roses.
The table was designed to accentuate luxurious details, such as the luxe gold-detailed Versace dinnerware. Classical romanticism inspired this 3-tiered wedding cake composed of loose fondant ribbons as well as a soft lush arrangement of sugar flowers in dusty hues of blush and ivory finished with delicate golden gilding. When designing the stationery, Sugared Fig Paperie envisioned a romantic European chateau with intricate filigree work and feminine textiles. The stationary was inspired partly by time spent in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and Downton Abbey. For the design, it included a regal crest and loose, hand-scripted calligraphy, where different textures as handmade paper, vellum, and hand-dyed silk were incorporated. To add additional interest, a subtle combination of floral and tool patterns were added to complete the vision. Nemacolin’s Rolls-Royce was the flawless conclusion to our editorial—as it embodied opulence, stately elegance, and an everlasting expression of excellence.
