When one couple’s dream Tuscan wedding plans came to a screeching halt all thanks to COVID, they enlisted the help of SRS Events to bring their Italian celebration to life – just much closer to home. Classic Italian cuisine, a gelato cart, a chateau-esque venue along with a yellow and blue color scheme, all came together beautifully to bring the romance of Tuscany to Maryland. Love Blooms created heavenly arrangements that could have been foraged from a garden in the countryside! From the photographer, Rebecca Theresa Photography… Elise and Adam were originally set to marry in Tuscany in May… The dreamy Italian wedding they had always wanted. However, due to Covid, their travel and wedding plans came crashing to a halt.
Determined not to let Covid stop them from marrying, they hired a local wedding planner to help bring the Italian charm to their homestate of Maryland. When they toured Strong Mansion up in the mountains in Dickerson, Maryland, they fell in love with the gorgeous grounds and grey chateau-esque venue.
They brought in similar designs and ideas that they were originally planning to have at their Italian wedding, such as a gelato cart, olive oil tasting, and limoncello!
Their stationery designer re-designed their invitation to reflect their new venue, but they still used their original crest throughout the stationery designs. A delicious meal of ravioli, fish, and caprese and lots of limoncello signature drinks rounded out a beautiful wedding day.
