Intimate, Backyard Weddings Are Here To Stay….And We Are Here For It!

We are all aware that 2020 has been quite the year, and with all of the uncertainty, couples have been turning to their own backyards (or the prettiest they can find) to be able to still tie the knot! With the help of Kelly Strong Events, photographer, Michelle Lange brought your backyard dreams to life in this whimsical editorial, with an eye-catching green arch, which lead guests to an intimate dinner. Trust us, after seeing these images, you may officially ditch the long guest list and simply include your nearest and dearest!

From Kelly Strong EventsLiving in an unprecedented time, 2020 couples are having to reimagine their weddings and are making hard decisions on how to move forward. With large weddings being postponed, couples are looking at alternate venue options, including private residences, to host an intimate wedding. These couples want to be married on their original wedding date, even if it looks a little different. With that, the intention of this project was to show just how romantic, beautiful, and meaningful an at-home, intimate wedding can be.

Regardless of the location, you can create focal points in your event design that will make a serious impact. In this case, the focal point was the green arch over the staircase, leading guests to dinner. Once on the porch, you were transported to a romantic, whimsical space with airy curtains, glowing candlelight, and nature all around.

Sara, from Ink Revival, tied in the garden inspiration through the whimsical, butterfly invitation design. Hand-painted menu cards at each place setting showcased the green accent color that was carried throughout the day. A combination of La Tavola linens and BBJ napkins were selected to add depth and dimension to the table design. And finally, caramel candlesticks tied in the warmer colors of the centerpieces, and pillar candles were added for an additional glow.

With a smaller wedding celebration, couples can put more time and attention into each and every detail of the day, making your guests feel even more special. While it may not be exactly what you had imagined, intimate weddings are a beautiful and meaningful way to begin your married life together.
