A Coastal Wedding Complete With the Cutest Steal-Worthy Sun Hat Escort Display

It’s a plain and simple fact that every event Amorology touches turns to magic. Today’s gorgeous couple was inspired by the iconic style of Carolyn Bessette and JFK for their wedding day, mixed with a dash of coastal flair. Guests celebrated the beautiful bride and groom under a tent dripping in heavenly blooms and greenery from Honey and Poppies. From a Pinterest-worthy sun hat escort display to an inspiring color palette of soft pale blues, warm tones of green, and pops of tangerine – there’s so much pretty to admire at the full gallery, captured by Scott Clark Photography.

From AmorologyWhen our bride and groom described their style as a mix between Carolyn Bessette and JFK we knew we were in for a wedding full of classic romance. Soft pale blues, warm tones of green, and pops of tangerine were the perfect mix for this “Somewhere in the Sun” wedding, reminiscent of the couple’s love for time spent on the beach while traveling. Taking place under a row of Palm Tree’s at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, our sweet couple were married in front of a broken brass arch adorned with sprawling greenery and white florals while their closest friends and family gathered with them to celebrate.

Bridesmaids were dressed in different shades of deep green, rust, and seafoam for a fun little twist which allowed the ceremony space to be more neutral and classic. A mix of white wood farm tables with goldenrod eyelash runners and velvet draped rounds created an elegant yet playful reception space with hanging rattan chandeliers we sourced that dripped greenery from above. The table was set with gray plates and accented coral napkins, brass flatware, and crystal glassware. We couldn’t resist adding a pinch of Himalayan rock salt and limes to sit upon each napkin next to guests’ place cards as a nod to Ellen and JT’s love for all things Tequila!

Seafoam velvet chairs added just the right amount of something blue to the tent while the gorgeous florals from Honey & Poppies offered warmth and texture. Playing to our bride’s love of wearing hats and continuing with our coastal vibe, we ushered guests into the reception and invited them to “Find a place to hang their hat.” Blue calligraphed name cards sat upon wooden trays while an assortment of hats hung above on the backdrop that guests later used as the photo booth background. Ending the night with dessert is always a must! The three-tiered white cake with pops of coral florals and fresh greenery was simply elegant. Once guests had the chance to enjoy the sweet cake everyone ended the night on the dance floor! It was truly a night to remember!
