From the bride… Chase and I met in the spring of 2016 in Charleston, during my third year of medical school. We initially became friends and after a few months of flirting on and off, I asked Chase to come over and fix my bike. He asked me out a couple days later and the rest is history! Several months into our relationship. I made the difficult decision to leave Charleston and move to Chicago for my pediatrics residency.
We had a few more months together in Charleston before I moved to Chicago and we began our long-distance relationship. A few months after I moved to Chicago, Chase made a big career decision and chose to switch medical specialties. He interviewed at several anesthesiology residency programs in Chicago and was offered a position! We were ecstatic!
After almost a year of long distance, Chase moved to Chicago and we started our life together in the Windy City. Over two years after Chase fixed my bike, I said YES while riding bikes through Lincoln Park! Deciding on where to get married was pretty easy for us… Charleston was where we met and started our love story, so it felt like home to each of us. The William Aiken House is a perfect reflection of Charleston with timeless Southern charm. We wanted a classic and romantic vibe with stunning florals, and boy, did Pure Luxe Bride and our vendors deliver! What they created was beyond anything we ever envisioned. It was truly breathtaking.
