From Bella Design & Planning… As far as fairy-tale wedding venues go, a ranch compound of national park-style guest lodges and log cabins that even Ralph Lauren would look twice at is hard to beat. Add to that a gorgeous vista of towering snow-capped peaks, lush mountain meadows, and crystalline waters and you have Brittany and Alex’s wedding destination.
The bride and groom are focused on sustainability in their lives. Denver resident Brittany Kim would much prefer to ditch the wedding decor if it means reducing the carbon footprint on such a precious natural environment.
When Campbell approached her client with the idea of sharing tents, toilets, and even transportation with two other lucky brides— Jill Shackelford, and Bizzy Gart— whose weddings occurred, respectively, one day after and one week after Kim’s nuptials, Brittany was more than happy to initiate the conversation.
“We should all be saying ‘I Do’ to recycling, reusing, composting, and carpooling!” she said. “This day should not about the dress, the hair, or the flowers. It’s really about doing what’s right for the environment.
