One of the first things on your wedding to-do list is picking the right venue, but where to begin? We’re sharing three steps to picking a venue that will feel just right, alongside this beautiful engagement shoot at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. If you’ve always dreamt of a formal wedding then a ballroom might better suit you than the beach. Think of the overall theme you are going for, and how your venue can help you tell the overarching story you are trying to create.
Think of yourself as goldilocks. You don’t want a venue that is too big or too small for your guest list, you want one that is just right. Save yourself some trouble by having an estimate of the number of people that will be attending before you consider a space.
If you’ve always dreamt of getting married in the woods, don’t push that thought to the side. Remember this is your Big Day, your way. Do what feels right for both of you as a couple, and the rest will all fall into place seamlessly.
From Taryn Grey Photography… This chic, fashion forward engagement session had to be one of my absolute favorites. In my initial consults with my clients, it is always important for to me to get to know and understand my couple’s aesthetic on a deeper level. Rachel and Tayo lightheartedly admitted that for their engagement session, they didn’t see themselves frolicking through a field or on a beach, and wanted something more refined and fashion forward. After reviewing a couple of their inspiration photos of Harry & Megan’s engagement, I knew we needed to go with a location that would showcase their sense of style and sophistication. Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hill was my first choice, as there are very few locations that so perfectly blend classic, refined architecture with gorgeous natural elements.
The very moment I saw Rachel step out of the car with her gorgeous Swiss dot Zimmermann gown & Tayo in his custom suit, I knew we had found the perfect location. I feel the property perfectly complimented this couple’s chic, sophisticated sense of style.
