Let’s be honest, weddings are gorgeous any time of year, and each season brings with it opportunity for so many special touches. But we’d be lying if we said we didn’t have a special spot for spring nuptials. Once winter is over (we’re more than ready for it at this point), and the Earth shakes off its sleepies and starts to wake up, that warmth and color that returns sets the stage for truly stunning affairs. Just like weddings, fine art photography, can be epic no matter the season, but pretty sure its brillantly-lit aesthetic shines with the colors, the softness, the serenity of spring. And everything ends up looking like a French garden, one of our all-time favorite looks.
Some might argue that pastels are past their prime, but to that, we say, they always come to play. Plush pinks and icy blue hues, lush lavenders and cool mints – you really can’t go wrong with a spring palette – and, spoiler alert, you can always pair them with a metallic accent, be it platinum, silver, gold, or rose gold. The warmer weather, too, prompts some of the prettiest tented fetes and al fresco celebrations, which can only be made more perfect by champagne: drinkable all year long, but particularly sparkly March through June.
At Style Me Pretty, we get spring, it’s like our signature look in season form, so if you’ll be getting married this spring (or next, you can always start collecting now!), definitely hop on over to our brand new shop page and peep all the must-haves for your springtime soiree.

These days, brides are much more comfortable and confident rocking subtle makeup on their wedding days – and we’re so here for it! With her gorgeous gown, beautiful accessories, and a setting that’s straight-up dreamy, what bride needs to go crazy with her makeup? We love a balanced complexion with sky high, feathery lashes, and a statement punchy pout.
Very simple items to add to your makeup bag, and ours is so pretty – with gold foil accents and a tassel pull zipper, it can actually double as a chic clutch for the wedding! Especially if your gown is simple too!
We said it before, right? Bubbles are fitting for any kind of fete, but in the spring, when coupes are coupled with floating florals, it’s just all the more stunning. Any cocktail hour with a champagne tower like this is bound to be unbelievably Instagram-worthy.
Every guest can take one, but the bride and groom’s drinks are off-limits… They can have their own pair to toast with: hers says ‘bride,’ his says ‘groom.’
While we’d love to say that a champagne tower makes for an amazing escort card display, it’s still a little precarious for that… You can swap champagne flutes for toasting coupes at their tables, and have a calligrapher scribe each guest’s name. Our Parisian, doily style drink rim place cards are perfect for that!
…Speaking of place cards, you can do so much when spring comes along. Our most recent favorite vibe involves pastel velvet napkins fanned out on glass plates ((and that gold rim 😍)). It feels so luxe, while also being so light and lithe.
Dress your napkins up with our beautiful place card rings, and you can even team it with floral stems or even a sprig of greenery for added charm. Either way, it reads utterly romantic and resplendent!
A lot of the time, the couple will have a toast with their parents directly following the ceremony or right after everyone’s been introduced into the reception, but we’re excited to see 2020 come through with many more toast opportunities for the guests of honor and their number twos. And what’s a more millennial way to do it than with neon signage that encourages all the spirits!
We’re big fans of our “But First, Drinks” and “Don’t Go Thirsty” light up signs. And can easily see them dressing up this major moment between besties. Wouldn’t you agree?
Flowers always make for the best centerpieces ((and in spring, the choice of blooms is beyond!!)), but the look is so much more elegant and romantic with supporting taper candles. It’s truly a mood. And can even make a large scale reception space feel incredibly intimate.
Blush and gold are dynamite color combinations, particularly if you have a lot of pinks, creams, and greens already in your wedding palette. And our unique tapers are actually ombre, so you can add two-tone color to your tables!
Cakes are another evergreen component of the wedding day, but spring cakes are just so much sweeter for some reason! We love the small cake trend, especially when you can work with your pastry chef or bakery to go simple with the cake design, but blow out how it’s decorated. Pressed flowers are incredibly trendy, as are sugar flowers and floral piping on a fondant canvas.
Our white and gold ceramic cake stand is picture-perfect for a cake like this. Even if you choose to swap fondant for simple buttercream or even a semi-naked semblance, you can dress up a beautifully-bare look with candles or flower bunches.
