From the bride… I think what made our wedding meaningful and special to us was the smallest details that maybe were not obvious to all our guests. These details reminded us that this day is about us. For example, Nick’s mother who passed when he was young loved hydrangeas, and Laura’s Floras included dried hydrangeas in our arrangements.
As an inside joke, Nick has always insisted that splitting your green beans, while time-consuming is worthwhile for the way they better absorb its accompanying sauce, and as a small joke, we had the chef split just Nick’s green beans.
The idea for a croquembouche dessert originated as a playful joke in a passing conversation but ended up being another way to bring our personality, humor, and love of food to the celebration. The love and intimate details we infused into the day made it all the more special.
