A Bride’s Family Home Is Transformed Into Wedding Magic

This is the backyard wedding to end all backyard weddings. When Kyle and Teale started planning their special day, they knew the bride’s family home on Bainbridge Island would be the perfect place for the celebration. With the help of Callista & Company, they began transforming Kyle’s family home into a wedding oasis perfectly captured by The Ganeys. Guests marveled at the poolside ceremony, featuring an abundance of floating flowers and a ceremony arch in full bloom. From Callista & Company… Designing with a sense of place was of utmost importance to us, as a majority of guests traveled to Bainbridge Island for the wedding, and we wanted to showcase the bride’s beautiful family home on the south end of the island. The incredible flowers from Gather Design Company were showstopping, lush, and perfectly suited to the Pacific Northwest surroundings.

A fun and unexpected color palette of soft pink and french blue was carried throughout the design, and this wedding was all about a cheerful combination of romantic and contemporary details. A light blush invitation box from Libby Tipton was filled with tonal pressed papers, an acrylic invitation card, dried wildflowers, and custom floral + driftwood logos to set the scene for the wedding weekend.

Guests followed a bagpiper from cocktail hour in the garden to a classic sailcloth tent on the waterfront. The tent featured a statement floral entrance, a grand circular bar in the center, and sleek brass chandeliers overhead.

For the reception, an abundance of flowers in contemporary white boxes lined the center of each long dinner table. Everyone danced the night away and said they were in awe of the magic that is Bainbridge Island.
