The secret to a super fun wedding reception? Annie and John will tell you it’s daring to be different! For their wedding reception, they decided to forego tradition and bring on the fun! Instead of a welcome cocktail, guests were greeted with strawberry-margarita push-pops. Traditional reception seating was replaced with lounge furniture for a more intimate feel. To end the night instead of wedding cake, Annie and John served a variety of cookies ornately displayed on golden shelves. Rach Loves Troy beautifully captured all the whimsical details. Expect the unexpected in the full gallery.
From The Graceful Host… The couple wanted to do something different than what their friends and family might have seen at past weddings. The wedding ceremony took place at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Uptown Charlotte, followed by a reception at the Mint Museum Uptown, a modern art museum with breathtaking views of the city.
The color palette was bright and cheerful, with tones of pink and lavender accented with greenery. We included ivy into the floral recipe as a nod to the couple’s former home of Chicago, and their mutual love of Wrigley Field and their favorite baseball team, the Cubs.
Annie and John wanted to have a wedding day that felt blissful, yet silly. They wanted to keep it fun and focused on what the day was about: celebrating their love.
