They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and in the case of Ali and Clara, that’s absolutely true. The two were in a long-distance relationship for the first four months of their courtship, so when it came time to tie the knot only a far off destination would do! The Four Seasons Sayan set the scene for the intimate celebration attended by the immediate family. Surrounded by lush tropics and waterfalls, the couple exchanged vows and danced the night away. Gusmank Wedding Photography was there to beautifully capture all the special moments of the day. Pack your bags for Bali and check out all the beautiful details in the full gallery.
From the bride… We met at a coffee shop in Utah, in July of 2016. My friend thought he was cute and called him over to talk. He thought I was cute, and ended up getting my number! Two weeks later I moved to Lithuania to teach English, and we did long distance for the first four months of our relationship! It was nice to get to know each other through conversation!
Ali proposed in my mom’s backyard in October 2017. There was a violinist, vintage fabrics draped on the walls, and a fire pit. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was absolutely perfect.
The vibe of our day was very intimate and relaxed, exactly how we wanted to be. It was super fun and memorable, we felt so lucky to celebrate in such an incredible destination with our family.
