From SRS Events...Kelsey and Matt came to SRS Events needing help planning their modern DC wedding! Both of their friends and families would be traveling from out of state for their big day, so they wanted a wedding venue that captured the spirit of Washington, DC. As soon as they toured Potomac View Terrace, they knew it was their perfect venue -- sleek, lots of white, views of the monuments, and right in the heart of the city.
Kelsey and Matt wanted a modern, white wedding, with pops of grey! The only other color came from the bridesmaid dresses, which were a dark grey in Storm from Jenny Yoo.
Kelsey and Matt got their guests excited for their DC wedding, with their save the dates and invitations, both from Minted, that featured the DC skyline. Perfectly fitting since their venue's reception rooftop has views of the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument.
After a First Look in Constitution Gardens against the backdrop of the Washington Monument, the newlyweds said their I Do's against the statuesque front facade of their venue. Adding greenery and white florals to the giant pillars flanking the ceremony and a modern circular arrangement to serve as their altar. Guests made their way up to the rooftop for the reception right at sunset, and were wowed by the views!
A menu featuring a Southern-style dinner, thoughtfully selected by the bride and groom, including a contemporary Caesar salad with fried green tomatoes, cornbread, and a choice of entree of shrimp and grits or fried chicken with roasted brussels sprouts cooked according to the groom's grandmother's recipe. A pie display fitting for their fall wedding was served in lieu of a wedding cake. The DJs kept the dance floor packed all night, and a streamer sendoff in front of the venue sent off the newlyweds as they embarked the next day on a month-long honeymoon to Thailand and the Maldives.
