From Mikki Platt Photography... Megan, the lovely bride, envisioned a boho-chic style for her November wedding and she leaned on her brilliant wedding designer to bring that to life! Dani Blasina of HauteFetes grasped Megan’s vision and guided her decisions to articulate her dream wedding! She imagined a formal event at her parents home, with her closest family and friends, a celebration in every sense of the word and an evening that their guests would look forward to! The results were woodsy touches, neutral & earthy tones in the drapery & linens (the soft greens were swoon-worthy!), making way for spectacular florals by Plenty of Petals. Lanterns and candles lit every walkway & staircase. Moroccan lanterns adorned the ceiling of the tent, connected by greenery and vines, it was quite the sight to behold! Invitations were individually made by the Invitation Factory.

Food stations created a moving flow so guests to pick and choose according to their tastebuds request! Chicken skewers, shrimp, pizza, burger sliders & fries, salads, pasta and a refreshing lemonade bar. Cashmere blankets and hot chocolate kept family and friends warm throughout the night! The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing! It was gluten and dairy free, had a simple but classy style and featured succulents! Megan’s wedding gown had a high collar neckline and lace bodice with elegant, flowing fabric that flattered her stunning figure with every step. She customized it by adding a sheer sleeve and modern lace cuffs to make it unique. Sam went with a classic, black tux and bow tie! It paired perfectly with Megan’s elegant and chic gown! Bucket lists have been their “thing” since the beginning of their romance. Always planning for adventures and memories, so it was fitting to have a bucket list station for guests to leave notes of ideas, recommendations and encouragement. Even the groom’s ring is engraved with, “You are my Bucket list”. A beautiful nod to their beginning as an adventurous married couple! Megan and Sam’s favorite moments include walking into the reception space and being completely blown away by the beauty of it all. Sam said he’s never seen anything like it and his wife was pretty as could be! Megan remembers looking around and loving that she actually knew each of their guests personally. It meant so much to them to be surrounded by so many people that they love! The father/daughter dance started with a personal favorite by Taylor Swift, “Never Give Up” and half way through they surprised everyone with a choreographed dance to Megan Trainor’s, “Dance like Yo Daddy”. It was a great way to mix up the emotions of giving your daughter away and celebrating! Their first dance was unforgettable. Sam’s family performed the song and Sam whispered every word in Megan’s ear as they swayed on the lantern lit dance floor. They couldn’t stop smiling! They’re advice to other couples would be to EAT throughout the day! Enjoy the elements that you spent months planning! If you have a wedding line, keep it short and sweet so guests know to be on time and then move on to the celebration! They realized that you can’t please everyone, so don’t stress too much on any one detail. Enjoy the whole process!
