Cue the Confetti, This Colorful Wedding Inspiration Is the Perfect Mix of Elegance and Playfulness!

"Boldly be a pop of color in a black and white world." - Unknown For the couple who isn't afraid to have fun with color at their wedding - this one's for you! Pamela Morgan Events and the talented team of vendors who created this shoot played with confetti, bright blooms and Charleston's pastel walls to bring their vision to life! We couldn't be more obsessed with every thoughtful detail, from the candy bar escort display to the vintage car overflowing with flowers from Philo Floral - see all the beauty at the full gallery captured by The Happy Bloom!
From The Happy Bloom... With neutral aesthetics being the natural go-to in the wedding world, color is slowly finding its way back into the Charleston scene. Historic Charleston, South Carolina, is known for its cobblestone streets and pastel buildings - an Instagrammer’s dream! Rainbow Row - one of Charleston’s main attraction - is a row of dozes on homes, each one painted a different vibrant color. It only makes sense that a city with color in its bones would be the spearhead of colorful wedding days here in the lowcountry. The William Aiken House is the perfect shade of pastel yellow and is the backbone of this confetti-filled editorial.
Designer Pamela Morgan filled the table with mixed patterns and textures giving this tablescape depth any variety. Philo Florals stepped in with rainbow inspired ombre floral centerpieces - the table beginning with yellow, fading into orange or and pink, and then finishing with blues and purples. Why choose a color for your wedding day when you can choose them all? A cotton candy bar acted as the seating chart for the grooms’ guests - each waffled cone filled with locally made cotton candy and adorned with a vellum sleeve showcasing a guest’s name and table number! The cherry on top of this shoot is easily the vintage car filled with florals and custom painted boxes - the perfect final photograph before the couple jet sets off to their honeymoon!
From Pamela Morgan Events... This shoot was named “Pop” early on in the design process because that’s really what we wanted it to be, a beautifully bright design that really popped- both with elegance and playfulness. I think through the gorgeous ombré florals dressing the table, the cotton candy cones, the bubble cake- oh and let’s not forget those handsome grooms- this shoot turned out to be just what we were hoping for... Maybe even more!

From Philo Floral... I wanted the flowers to be a beautiful twist of elegance, celebration, and non-traditional. We wanted to embrace the fantastic venue and add in hints of bold yellow tones to accompany the sky blue and blush hues. This color palette can be thought of as a more muted version of the basic primary color scheme which is something we work into our design practices as much as possible.
