E Events Co. brought the couple’s vision to life at The Chateau Carmel, a stunning private estate in Carmel Valley! With Whiskers and Willow Photography along to capture all of the romance and all of the pretty pink, we have to say once you look below, you will think you stepped right into a little Italian town.

From Whiskers & Willow PhotographyMegan and Jake wanted a destination wedding in Italy, but they still wanted to be able to have their family and friends join them in celebrating their union. So when they stumbled upon this private home dubbed “Chateau Carmel” in the middle of Northern California, they fell instantly in love with the venue.

Megan’s vision was for romantic florals to accent the European feel of this location, which Gavita Flora expertly delivered. The unique pink wall centered with a bell was a beautiful backdrop as the hills rolled along below. And they definitely wanted to make sure to have portraits in front of the Italian-feeling cypress trees that lined the road leading up to the chateau. If any bride is looking for a destination wedding at home, this wedding is surely jam-packed with inspiration.

About the Bride and Groom…Jake moved to Silicon Valley for work and just a couple of days after moving to the South Bay (Megan’s hometown), they went on their first date and hit it off immediately. Within their first year of dating and traveling to Hawaii and Europe together, they decided to make the move to Colorado.

They packed up their cars and drove out to Boulder, Colorado. After a couple of years of living in Colorado, Jake coordinated the proposal. He arranged for Megan’s two friends to take her hiking in Estes Park on a Sunday morning in September 2018.

After summiting the top of Lily Mountain, Megan was completely shocked to find Jake standing there at the top of the mountain in a suit. He got down on one knee and she, of course, said yes! Their friends were waiting for them at the top and they popped champagne and celebrated with the most incredible views of the Rocky Mountains.
