A Proposal That Started With An X-Ray And Ended In a Pink Party in Nantucket!

For these two lovebirds, a classic New England wedding was exactly what they envisioned…with pops of color to change it up a bit! The White Elephant Hotel in Nantucket was the venue of choice and pink the color, from the candy and cake display to beautiful blooms by Soiree Floral. Together with their planner, Cape Cod Celebrations the couple figured out what was most important to them and went from there! From the Bride…The Proposal: My fiancé and I are both dentists and he got me to come into his dental office on a Saturday when nobody was in the office for my check-up. He took my x-rays and said there was something I had to look at. When I looked at the x-ray it wasn’t a tooth, but actually an x-ray of a ring.

He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He had champagne and flowers ready but needless to say, I had to come back another day for my cleaning. We headed home where he had a surprise engagement party set up with our friends and family.

Planning The Wedding: We both love the classic New England feel of Nantucket but wanted to mix it up a little. We kept the classic element but tried to incorporate more fun colors like varieties of pink from florals to our wedding cake!

Advice for Couples: It is so easy to get caught up in the planning process so at the beginning of wedding planning, sit down with your fiancé and family and figure out what is most important to each of you. Focus on those items and learn to let some of the other stuff go.
