The Perfect Example of How to Flip the Same Space for Your Ceremony and Reception like a Pro!

Today's wedding at one of our favorite California venues, Rancho Las Lomas, is an instant mood-booster! Just one look at the cheerful floral arrangements from Beautiful Savage in bright yellow and green hues and you can't help but smile. Klink Events had the entire day going off without a hitch while the bride and groom (and their adorable pup!) danced the night away to an epic playlist from Elevated Pulse Production. Ether & Smith Photography was there to capture every detail to perfection - see it all unfold at the full gallery!
From Ether & Smith... Cassie & Cory got ready at Cory's parents' beautiful home to ensure they got photos with their sweet dog, Charlie. Family photos adorned throughout the house, Charlie trotting around, and their family and closest friends around them, it was such a sentimental environment to get ready in! Their wedding had yellow, green, and white color palette, perfect against the al-fresco backdrop of Rancho Las Lomas. The bridesmaids wore a modern and flattering nude color dress with slits, pairing beautifully with the bride's stunning dress. The groom and groomsmen wore sleek black tuxes. They said their vows under tall trees and lush greenery among friends and family that traveled far and near. The ceremony was efficiently flipped into the reception space. Tables were decorated with yellow, white, and green centerpieces. Macaroons on top of delicately placed eucalyptus were at each place setting. Overgrown eucalyptus cascaded their chairs with lush floral pieces framing their sweetheart table. Cocktail was above the reception area perched into the hills with a pool and more greenery, the perfect place to show off the venue's unique architecture, history, and character! The night ended with the sweetest speeches, the happiest tears and smiles, and a lot of dancing under the starry night!

From the Bride... Cory and I spent our undergraduate studies together in the same extended group of friends but never actually met until post graduation while visiting a mutual friend in San Francisco. After a summer of courtship, 2 years of long distance, a stint on the east coast for our graduate degrees, and a relocation to Tokyo, we got engaged on a summer evening in Nakameguro with the company of my two sisters.

For our wedding, we really wanted to celebrate the friends and family that supported us throughout the 8 years of our relationship in a timeless and sophisticated style. Set in the beautiful Rancho Las Lomasvenue, the goal was to highlight the natural splendor of the location with natural greens, accented with pops of yellow, and sleek modern attire to match.

A major highlight was getting to bring all these people from the many different places we’ve lived together in celebration. With that said, for couples looking to plan a wedding from afar (or abroad in our instance!), really plan ahead and set time aside to interview and get to know the people you’re collaborating with. Determine what will be the most important aspects of your wedding and really invest in finding the right people that you would trust to achieve your goals. Many of our vendors were so helpful in helping us carry out our vision despite our physical absence.
