I LOVE a fun, modern wedding…especially when it takes place in Brooklyn and at one of THE coolest boutique hotels, The Wythe. But when the bride and groom shared their one request with DM Events, an ever-flowing champagne tower, I love it even more! DM Events got to work to keep the champagne flowing and the florals overflowing with the help of Ivie Joy Flowers, creating one of the most gorgeous ceremony backdrops with an array of soft blooms against a contrasting brick wall. Take a peek at all of the style and fun, captured stunningly by Samm Blake Photography!
From DM Events…From the instant we met Misoo and Damien, we knew that their wedding would be as special an event as they are a couple. With their innate sense of style guiding the design process, it was an amazing collaboration from the start. The minute Misoo shared with us her only request – an ever-flowing champagne tower- it was instant love!
When you have a couple who embody style and fun, the Wythe Hotel is the only choice to host their wedding. Located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the Wythe is a true boutique hotel housed in a meticulously restored 100-year old textile factory. The space features tons of exposed bricks, wooden beams, and steel columns. While the natural aesthetic of the hotel is industrial and masculine, it is also romantic and charming. In order to highlight these features, we focused on a delicate ambiance to balance the industrial feel and soften the architectural design. We worked with the talented Ivie Joy Flowers layering the beautiful spring wedding details with soft white and blush blooms, tons of candlelight, and beautiful linen runners.
Misoo’s stunning wedding dress from Berta was followed by a playful reception dress by Kalmanovich. Damien opted for a custom tux from Michael Andrews Bespoke paired with Louboutin velvet loafers. Also, in true Damien form, a barber was onsite for fresh shaves and cuts for him and the groomsmen. Who says it has to be all about the bride?!
Photography is always a place we tell clients to splurge because it’s so incredibly important! Samm Blake from The Wedding Artists Co. was such a pleasure to work with and captured all of the details so beautifully! We didn’t want to give Samm all the fun, though, so we also had Neeko Booths on-site to make sure all of the guests were enjoying the floral-lined photo booth and the dance floor Boomerang booth!
The night ended with our one must-have: the champagne tower! The bubbly was, indeed, flowing! There’s something so special about having a natural connection to a couple. Misoo and Damien were a dream to work with and we know their life together will flow with as much excitement as that ever-flowing champagne tower!
