As the Saying Goes, 'Everything is Bigger' With This Floral Color Palette
For this Texas-born bride to be, she stuck with a popular Texas saying - "everything is bigger In Texas" for some inspiration from giant, colorful floral arrangements from Asiel Design which were just bursting with color to a stunning Monique Lhuillier ball gown. When it came to the venue, it took a few attempts and a bit of searching throughout California to find The Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay which turned out to be the perfect choice for this colorful soiree. From the Bride...I had the dream of having the wedding outside by the beach. We live in Los Angeles, so we started in Malibu, however, the logistics were not great, and the options we hoped for were already booked. Then we thought we would move north a bit to Ojai or Santa Barbara. Sadly, the fires made it impossible to go and scout. We would have to take a chance site-unseen, which I did not want. Todd started looking up Northern California locations and came upon The Ritz at Half Moon Bay. We went and visited and I knew the minute we saw it, that it was perfection.
The Ritz has breathtaking backgrounds so we knew we just needed to add some personal touches to make our wedding gorgeous and distinct. I am originally from Dallas, and you know what they say, “Everything is bigger in Texas’. So I definitely wanted it to be grand and unforgettable, but also classic, yet colorful. Therefore, my idea was to “go big” with the flowers especially.
I was interested in a colorful palette for flowers; something extraordinary and also classic. Asiel Design has some of the most beautiful arrangements in the State of California that we have ever seen. I wanted them to incorporate yellow wildflowers and make it rich with color and trusted they would do an amazing job...which of course, they nailed. I feel very fortunate that my family agreed to give me the wedding of a lifetime!
