Now, THIS is my kind of New Year’s Eve wedding! I would trade the snow and cold for the sand and sun in a heartbeat if I had planned a NYE fete. Who’s with me? Designed by the Bride herself with planning by Mango Weddings—today’s celebration is pure destination wedding goals. Chris and Aleli had an intimate destination wedding at a private beachfront villa in Cancun, Mexico. What made it even more special was that it was held on New Years’ Eve and the couple was able to share a memorable midnight countdown with all their guests while dining al fresco.

This intimate wedding perfectly represented the bride and groom’s personal style with understated elegance. The wedding design emphasized the natural elements of the venue: an impeccably kept private villa facing the Caribbean sea – making the most perfect canvas of bridal dreams.

The bride selected classic and elegant florals with soft colours to highlight the natural greenery and intrinsic beauty of the venue. She merged whimsical boho elements—a peacock chair, vintage furniture, Moroccan-inspired poufs alongside more refined pieces – crystal champagne coupes, rose gold flatware, and tapered candles. Twinkling fairy lights weaved the al fresco terrace with a pool of florals at the center – all perfectly planned and executed by Mango Weddings. Chris and Aleli pledged their love for each with self-written vows facing the Caribbean coastline, gentle winds brushing along the palm trees and captured beautifully by Richelle Hunter Photography and Eric Frank Cinemas.

Guests had dinner under the stars catered by Gourmet Soberanis. The bride and groom were welcomed through a sparkler tunnel and shared their first dance to Dan + Shay’s “Speechless”. Musical performances led by the groom kicked off a night full of music, song, and dance as guests shared champagne toasts under a beautiful display of fireworks lining the coastline. Talk about an epic New Year’s Eve midnight countdown!
