From Moana Events... Rachel and Jeffrey both attended Texas Christian University, however they never became more than just acquaintances, although Jeffery claimed that they shared at least a class.
A few years after college, the two were reintroduced through mutual friends on a trip to Mexico, where they became close friends. Jeffrey finally asked Rachel out a few months later and they have not been separated since.
Jeffrey proposed to Rachel on her family’s ranch, on her birthday, after a hike up her favorite mountain trail. It was the perfect moment shared between just the two of them.
Rachel's family grew up going to Kauai and have a long history there. She always envisioned getting married in the little green church in Hanalei, and once she got engaged she started planning her wedding there.
The couple incorporated Hawaii-inspired details like a traditional Hawaiian quilt pattern on the invitations, escort cards, and cake. As a nod to Texas, they also incorporated Southern traditions like a bourbon, cigar, and sweets bar for the gents.
