It’s a good day when we see some of our favorite vendors coming together to create next level wedding beauty. Today, that team includes Valley & Co. and O’Malley Photographers, who joined forces to craft this beautiful tented, outdoor vineyard wedding in Walla Walla. It’s the ultimate summer soiree, and just what we need as we journey closer to warmer days ahead.
From Valley & Co.… Allie and Collins are one of the most laid-back and gracious couples we’ve ever worked with and they radiated an effortless style! They both envisioned a beautiful and ethereal wedding that was brimming with excellent music, delicious wine, and a spectacular setting for their guests, which we found in wine country at a sprawling private vineyard and winery.
The wedding weekend was designed around the location, and many of our thoughtful details were drawn from the vines and rolling hills – from the letter pressed invitations hosting an illustration of the vineyard from La Happy Design to the freshly cut grape vines dancing down the long tables snipped that morning, it was important to Allie to nod to the picture-perfect setting that belongs to family friends.
Perched above the wines the ceremony took place, complete with a cameo from running antelope near sunset – it was as if we’d cued them (well perhaps we did!) – guests were left in awe by the beauty that really required no added installations or decor. Mother Nature did her job.
After they said We Do, guests meandered back down through the vines with champagne in hand to cocktail hour where the wafting smell of wheat and great food greeted them. The winery is nestled in the eastern part of Washington State where wheat is a big crop, so we cinched up bunches of them and accented the bar offerings, alongside breezy fabric cocktail menus from La Happy. The structure and scenes of the wedding were so well balanced with our colors and textures, fabrics, sounds, and menu offerings – all creating the definition of laid-back elegance Collins and Allie envisioned.
Music and food were also a high priority and they wanted guests to dance and indulge into the wee hours (which they did!) and kept them fueled with a fresh late summer menu and pastel desserts like macarons, creme brulee, and big personalized cookie sandwiches. We saw so many guests going back for seconds and thirds at the sweets table, so it was a success!
