5 Glow-Boosting Recipes to Get Your Hair, Skin and Nails Wedding-Ready
Getting ready for your big day means more than just your body looking amazing, you want your hair, skin and nails to look and feel awesome as well! Here are some of our glow-boosting recipes you should definitely start incorporating days and months before the big day! Think antioxidants, omega 3’s, and more!
Add 1 Tablespoon of oil to skillet over medium heat. Add all ingredients to pan and cook until veggies are soft. Season with salt, pepper and sprinkle nutritional yeast on top. Approximately 10-12 minutes.
1. Veggie-Sausage One Pan Wonder
- 4 chicken sausage links (Vegetarian: Omit and swap in ¼ cup toasted pine nuts after cooking.) 1 cup cannellini beans
- 2 cup butternut squash
- 1 bag shredded Brussels sprouts
- 1 bag of broccoli slaw
- 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
- Sprinkle of nutritional yeast
- Salt and pepper, to taste

2. Crispy Asian Salad
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- ½ cup mixed spring greens
- Chopped cucumber
- ¼ cup shredded carrots
- Chopped red onion ¼ avocado
- 1 small orange or clementine, seeded & diced
- ½ cup diced chicken *Vegetarian option: ½ cup chickpeas
- 2 Tablespoons slivered almonds
- Chopped cilantro or parsley
Optional dressing: 1 teaspoon lemon juice + 1 teaspoon raw honey + 1 Tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar, 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil + 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger + 1 Tablespoon coconut aminos
3. Dole Whip Smoothie
- 1 ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 ½ cup frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt or full-fat coconut cream
- 1 scoop collagen peptides (optional)
Blend together in a high-powered blender. Use the tamper tool to blend quicker and avoid overheating. Blend just until smooth and serve immediately or freeze for later. Serves 3.
Tip: Try it in popsicle molds!
4. Detox Citrus Smoothie
- 1 large orange, peeled, seeded, & pit removed or 3 clementines, peeled & pit removed
- ¼ teaspoon lemon zest + juice of 1 lemon
- Big handful of greens
- ½ inch slice fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons hemp seed
- Scoop of collagen peptides
- 6-8 oz unsweetened coconut or nut milk
- Ice, if desired
5. Air Popped Popcorn with Nutritional Yeast
- 2 cups air-popped popcorn
- Olive or coconut oil
- A variety of fresh herbs
- 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast
Drizzle popcorn with olive or coconut oil. Sprinkle fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, etc.) and 2 Tablespoons of nutritional yeast on top. Enjoy!
