There’s always something that stands out to us about each wedding we feature here on SMP, and for this gorgeous day at Pippin Hill (one of our faves!), it was the dress… ohh, the dress. It’s unlike any we’ve seen before! Not to mention the bride’s contagious smile and her husband’s emotional reaction during their first look, captured so perfectly by Kylie Martin Photography. From Kylie Martin Photography… Morgan and Tommy opted for an intimate spring wedding at Pippin Hill Farm in Charlottesville Virginia. They had classic elements throughout the day but also had fun touches that emphasized their playful side. Morgan opted for a less traditional gown that stunned against the Blue Ridge Mountains at sunset.
Both Morgan and Tommy have a love for travel which has been fundamental part of their relationship as they have spent a good portion of their time together traveling the world. Morgan wanted to incorporate travel details throughout their day.
With the help of Cody at Amore Events, unique touches were brought into the reception space to highlight the theme which included table seatings cards placed in luggage tags, tables numbered with destination images of the bride and groom at an international destination that they had travelled to together and postcards for guests to sign from all around the world.
As a photographer, it was wonderful to see how much of Tommy and Morgan’s vibrant personalities and enthusiasm for life was brought into their day. Both of them light up a room when they walk in and the energy and joy that followed them throughout their wedding was palpable. It was not only a treat to photograph such a lively couple but also to document a wedding that stepped outside of the box when it came to certain details. The Cooley’s wedding while fun and less traditional, still carried a sense of timelessness.
