Does anyone else feel like the mauve is the new blush? Give me a big ol’ yes in the comments if so! And I’m not mad about it, at all. This pretty little soiree from Dear Lovers and White Blossom Events is further proving my theory is true. Paired with soft rose, al fresco portraits and blooms galore by City Flower LA, it’s a feminine fete for the books—see it all here.
From the photographer (Dani Toscano)… I recently had the pleasure of capturing Michelle & Daniel’s stunning blush-infused wedding at Maravilla Gardens in Ventura, California. The venue itself is such an amazing setting, with endless amounts of colorful flowers, a pair of doves, a view of vegetable fields, and the perfect golden lighting for a garden wedding. Planned by Amy of White Blossom Events, the space came together beautifully with hints of mauve, blush, deep red, and white tones.
The bride wore two dresses, one for her ceremony and another for her reception. For her ceremony, she wore the Hayley Paige Chantelle gown that was strapless, with a lace bodice and layered with tulle. For her reception, she wore the BHLDN Hearst silver gown. The groom wore a classic blue tux, with a solid mauve-colored tie and white boutonniere.
The botanical nature of this venue was emphasized with the stunning floral pieces crafted by City Flower LA. My favorite touch was the circular floral wedding arch, featuring a variety of roses, hydrangeas, eucalyptus, and dahlias. All throughout the space, guests were met with flowers, lush greenery, and butterflies. What a truly magical day! We are deeply grateful to have been a part of such a lovely and fairy tale inspired wedding.
From the bride (Michelle)… Prior to my big day, my dream wedding inspiration constantly changed from colors to locations to themes. I’ve been inspired by so many ideas so it was fun and challenging to curate my summer wedding. During our planning process, I became really interested in a very simple yet elegant chic vibe with muted warm colors and hints of natural elements.
While sticking to our theme, I was driven by a more feminine color palette which included dusty mauve and soft rose. We searched for bridesmaids dresses and I ended up finding a beautiful shade called sienna pink! It was the perfect hue to use as a base color, with romantic and subtle features. I felt like it could really compliment the ranges of greens and other colors at Maravilla Gardens and be a beautiful transition color from late summer to fall.
I wanted our flowers to compliment our romantic mauve palette and organically blend in with the rest of our details. The floral arrangements were executed so beautifully and matched the aesthetic of our wedding so well! We adored the pretty pastel shades, mixed in with mint-hued dusty miller and blush and red roses. We really felt like our flowers softened up some of the elements of the venue.
I absolutely adored our cake topper and our table sets. It added a personal touch to our wedding decor which I truly appreciated. Our cake topper was custom made to feature our wedding hashtag “aSonginthePark” and was placed against a beautiful vine-infused background.
For our table sets, I really enjoyed creating elements and dabbling in DIY projects with my close friends! For our wedding favors, we ended up painting mini pots and planting each individual succulent with love. It felt really special to include friends in such an important part of my wedding and know they helped me create something beautiful and communal.
We had so many favorite moments! From the planning to walking down the aisle to our first kiss to announcing our official names, it was all so incredibly fun for us. We especially loved celebrating with everyone we care for. It would be too difficult and unfair to single out just one moment! I truly believe our special day was an infinite moment that I will cherish forever.
My wedding planner, Amy from White Blossom did an incredible job in executing my vision and bring it to fruition. From our infinity floral arch to the little details of decor, we loved seeing everything we envisioned come together so naturally. We also enjoyed our bar cart stocked with tequila shots with a wooden sign that read: “Take a shot and take a seat.” The attention to detail and craft showcased our personalities!
Other favorite details from our wedding include all of the beautifully placed frames from our engagement session, the photo booth, and live music with our talented trio band who played all of our favorite oldies! It was truly such a magical night and we’re so grateful for all of our vendors!
