Classic Fall Wedding at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards in Virginia
If a classic Southern wedding is on your agenda, you'll want to cozy up to today's soiree at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. Complete with planning by Donovan-Groves Events, blooms by Nature Composed (how good?!) and a "burying the bourbon" tradition, every details is Southern to a T. See it all unfold in the gorgeous gallery captured by Elisa Bricker!
From Elisa Bricker... This beautiful wedding was one of my favorite fall weddings to date. Carly and David were clearly over-the-moon to be celebrating with their friends and family (and their sweet pup Dixon made an appearance too!)
Some of my favorite details from their day were the textured boutonnieres by Jenn of Nature composed (the men never get enough flowers on the wedding day do they?) and the vintage post cards of Charlottesville that they couple collected and used as a guest book.
This couple didn't forget the southern tradition of burying the bourbon! Burying bourbon is a southern tradition that is supposed to ward off rain the day of the wedding. The tradition is that the bride and groom-to-be must visit their venue exactly a month before the wedding date and bury a bottle of bourbon upside down. Carly and David had beautiful weather on their wedding day, and had a bourbon and cigar bar (where their bottle was displayed) to celebrate!
