We’re only two months into 2019, but I’m going to go out on a limb (or should I say wing?!) and say that this fete will claim the most unique wedding venue of the year. When other venue options fell through for Nealy and Adam, they looked to a private airport hanger at Clinton National Airport—and oh, does it wow my friends. Anne-Claire Allen guided their vision through a whimsical design and precise planning, for what I’m was a wedding the guests are still talking about (and will for years). Have a look at Kayla Barker‘s images to experience it all for yourself.

From designer and planner Anne-Claire Allen… Transforming a 23,000 square-foot raw, private airplane hanger space is one way to create a jaw-dropping and unique wedding, but sure isn’t an easy task! Nealy and Adam knew that they wanted to find an unusual wedding venue in their Central Arkansas hometown, but finding a space that hadn’t been overused or that was too traditional was quite the feat! After several venue options fell through, Nealy and Adam finally received approval to utilize the private airplane hanger connected to the Clinton National Airport! From there, the true planning and design began!
Inspiration was built off of the bride’s epic Monique Lhullier gown that was adorned with rose appliqués as a nod to the lakeside home she grew up in that was covered with roses. After months of planning, the removal of six private jets and three full days of setup, guests were invited into a never before seen wedding venue that transported guests to a magical space full of 20-foot trees, a custom dance-floor and lounge seating risers, an enormous hanging floral chandelier, an epic bar with signature drinks and an excellent Southern-style food throughout the evening.
With a large gospel choir, multiple speciality culinary items, a dress change into an icy blue gown by Elizabeth Fillmore, personalized macarons and even late-night fishbowl drinks, surprises awaited the lucky 400 guests every hour! The JamWOWs band from Dallas, Texas kept everyone on the dance floor until finishing the evening with an acoustic serenade as the hanger doors pulled back to reveal the couples getaway jet. The band’s horn section escorted the couple in true second-line fashion to the runway where they were flown off to their honeymoon as their friends and family cheered in celebration!
