When in doubt, go for a destination wedding! While you might be thinking a far-away-fete will be a challenge to plan, it’s so worth it. Especially when you turn your celebration into a week-long event like this Victoria and Peter did. With Joanna Loukaki guiding the planning process, the result was truly a day to remember. From Vasilis Kantarakis Films… Growing up, Victoria used to spend summers with her Italian family in a small town called Cervinara, right outside of Naples. It was while falling in love with Italy as a child that she began dreaming of a destination wedding. When she first met Peter, she had no idea she was falling in love with someone who had spent their childhood summers similarly. He would return each year to his parent’s birthplace and homeland, a small island called Chios off the mainland of Greece. When Peter and Victoria took their first trip together to visit Chios and then Cervinara, they knew that a destination wedding would be the best way to include all parts of their international families. So, they turned their destination wedding into a week long vacation for all their friends and family, and they couldn’t be happier with the celebration or each other.

From Joanna Loukakis, the planner… When we first visited together with Victoria and Peter the historic venue, we could see in their eyes it was their dream location! Set in the medieval Kampos area, the 1700’s estate has breathtaking views citrus groves in all directions. Beautiful organic and natural elements incorporated with tones of blue and a splash of gold, were some details of the romantic dinner scenery.
