Seaside Malibu Wedding at The Adamson House

When I see the name Amorology pop up, I know I’m in for a gorgeous treat… everything they touch turns to pure wedding gold! Today’s fete is no exception and it so happens to be the wedding of fashion blogger, Maxie Elise, who made the most stunning Bride. Ashley Kelemen joined in on all the fun—lens in tow—leaving us lots and lots of pretty to look at.

From Amorology… College sweethearts Megan and Tyler’s love story began when she fell in love with his pants. The sleepy boy who sat near her in class was well-known for these pants, enough to warrant him a very special nickname. Puzzle Pants (aka Tyler) and Megan’s romance blossomed from their love of late nights, long mornings, and nap times, and we decided to weave this story into the concept of their wedding – Lovers & Dreamers.

Their wedding sat by the seaside at historic Adamson House in Malibu, CA where gentle waves lapped calmly at the banks of the shore. Dappled sunlight shone through the leaves of the Sycamore tree under which they wed as they said I Do, and guests sauntered into the courtyard area to be greeted by custom cocktails from Barcon – sip on a Suit & Ty or a Farmer’s Daughter (a nod to Tyler’s city boy background and Megan growing up on a farm) as you watch the clouds roll by. Their lovers and dreamers were then led to their seats by a sleep mask customized with their names and table assignments. We alternated between wood tables and rounds draped in gilded gold linens from La Tavola. Wood tables were set with simple linen plates upon wooden chargers, with rose gold flatware, indigo edged-napkins, and classic cut crystal glassware, while rounds got simple linen chargers and pink sky napkins. We used velvet ribbons on the plates to add another pop of color in there with small sprigs of berries brought in by Olive Willow to complement the lush florals that crowned each table.

After warming up on the dance floor, guests were invited to enjoy “the rest” – i.e. a scrumptious spread of delicious goodies brought in by Hey There Cupcake. Guests continued to dance through the evening under the night sky and breezy palm trees to end a day that was altogether very Cali-cool, calm, and collected.
