Stunning French Blue Wedding Inspiration at Château de Carsix
From Joy Proctor Design... It was such an honor to design Kayla Barker's workshop in the Normandy region of France. The inspiration for my design was the incredible location of Chateau de Carsix.
The expansive gardens and incredible chateau were the most inspiring backdrop on which to design. As a nod to the country's history, I chose a French Blue as the base color, playing with creme, taupe and peach tones (reminiscent of the brick exterior) for the color palette.
We watched as the bride got ready in custom Madeline Fig lingerie. Escorted by her two nieces, donning matching lace and tulle gowns, the bride chose flowers from the garden for her bouquet. The ceremony held on the front drive, with two beautiful arches of flowers growing around the place where vows were exchanged.
Dinner was held in the grand ballroom, with a long table covered in a soft blue linen. White porcelain, mother of pearl flatware and napkins with the menu printed on them in calligraphy were highlights of the look. Guests were gifted with favors of tea following the wedding, wishing them a beautiful evening.
Registration is open for Kayla's next workshop - be sure to secure a spot before they're all gone! Check out this gorgeous video by Ale Vidal to get a behind the scenes look at this heavenly day.
