From Fête Event Planning… When we stumbled upon the Villa di Geggiano it was like stepping back in time to 18th century Italy. Set atop a hill in Chianti, the estate has breathtaking views of vineyards and olive groves in every direction. The villa’s remarkable interior decoration – done in the most avant-garde style of the 1700s – has been lovingly preserved by the Bianchi Bandinelli family and was an incredible source of inspiration for our collaboration.
As we often like to do, we took our cues from the spaces. With the fabulous creative partnering of Isibeal Studio and Fête Event Planning, we set out to imbue our stylings with a sense of modern Renaissance romanticism underpinned with a touch of mysticism, all artistically captured by Molly Carr Photography.
As you turn every corner there are beautifully aged treasures. Were they placed there by the gods? The images create a narrative evoking a sense of magic and romance through painterly images, the patina of the villa and the creative backdrops of florals and tablescapes we created using some beautiful pieces from Duchess & Butler. Our model is a true Italian redhead in the mood of Boticelli.
Sanni Sorma created her looks that ranged from soft & demure, to Renaissance glam to delicate & ethereal. The bridal gowns were furnished by Pandore in Paris and feature creations by Sadoni and by Inmaculada Garcia. The paper designed by Studio French Blue tied in the romantic and mystical elements, with a wedding announcement laid out in the traditional Italian format, and a custom star chart for the date. The paper suite was styled using paper pressed with a relief of fresco from the famous Fabriano Paper Mill.
