For someone whose wedding was 3.5 years ago… today’s spread of inspiration is such a tease. So, ladies (and gents!), I’m counting on you to do something with all this beauty, crafted at the hand of Weddings by Susan Dunne, for your very own day. Let’s start with those Liv Hart for Bella Belle shoes. Perfection, no? Followed by the prettiest paper goods thanks to Olive Saint Lily, a photo-worthy red scooter, a Mulberry & Moss bouquet for the books and so much more. Follow along the image story with Anya Kernes—I hope you’ll find a few muses.
From Susan of Weddings by Susan Dunne… Our design concept was to bring a classic old world look while incorporating a modern twist of minimalistic features. The color palette was inspired by the pastel colored fishing villages and the beautiful beaches that the coast has to offer. We used hues of blues to represent the beautiful small beaches with iridescent colored sea and blue skies. The touch of gold was to represent the aromatic cliff-side of lemon groves. The lush greens were brought in as an inspiration of the natural Mediterranean vegetation these small villages have to offer. Anya Kernes, a fine art film photographer, truly captured the magical essence of the overall Italian design. Sarah from Mulberry and Moss, created an amazing floral design on our Yacht Elopement (which was provided by Paradise Bound Yacht Charters in Marina del Rey) and dressed up gorgeous modern white acrylic and colorful china from MTB Rentals, napkins and runners provided by La Tavola Fine Linens with greens, blooms at the beautiful Terrace ballroom at the Luxurious Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton. Bride Victoria was dolled up by Makeup by Emerald, focusing on the bride’s natural beauty and styled by Kinsley James Couture Bridal wearing Netta Ben Shabu and Tara La Tour. Shoes were provided by Bella Belle Shoes and completed the look with a one of a kind airy and loose bridal bouquet by Mulberry and Moss. Our Groom James, styled by The Black Tux in a traditional white and black tux and Friar Tux provided a unique light blue modern suit.
In order to complete an Italian experience, you can’t go without having an espresso and sweets. A pop station with a little bit of champagne was created by Mom and Pop Shop Truck. The beautiful cakes with simple yet intricate hand rolled fondant were made by Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica. The espresso machine by Bon Cafetit was siting on a white custom made cart from MTB. To wrap up the design we had Kid Go Lightly create an amazing wedding invitation suite, menu cards, place cards and much more. They were styled with mini dishes from Simple Things LA.
