From the bride… After a 2 year engagement we were so anxious to finally be married, but took advantage of that time to work with A Good Affair in creating a day that was a visual representation of our relationship and love we have for each other.
We wanted the day to be about romance, so when someone arrived at the ceremony, cocktail hour, or the reception, they would feel a rush bliss and passion. We wrote our own vows, picked wedding participants that played important roles in our lives and relationship, and added special details commemorating those who couldn’t be with us that day.
While we wanted the day to be about romance and love, we wanted the atmosphere to be like the other aspects of our relationship. We wanted things to be light-hearted, seem effortlessly perfect, and, most importantly, fun. From start to finish, our wedding day was like stepping into a dreamy, fairytale and every detail was perfectly “us.”
We came to A Good Affair with a lot of inspiration of what we wanted the day be like, and Natalie was able to turn that inspiration into a clear vision and really used our personalities to assemble the dream team of vendors and have everything about our special day be expressive of us as a couple.
I wore a fitted Pronovias wedding gown that was made with crepe and lace fabrics that had a dramatic train that was the perfect hybrid between timelessness and drama with a hint of sexuality. I wore diamonds and sapphires passed down from my grandmother. My husband wore a deep navy Hugo Boss suit with Cole Haan dress shoes that reminded him of a pair of dress shoes his grandfather owned. My bridesmaids wore chiffon Hayley Paige gowns that had blue and gray undertones. Her line was great as each dress was different but all had a cohesive look.
