Canadian Rockies, lush florals, intimate elopement… oh my! If you’re on the verge of choosing an elopement to being your new life as a married couple, let this incredibly gorgeous inspiration finalize that decision for you! Teeming with elegance in every single detail as photographed by Teryn Lee Photography, I’m suddenly overcome with the need to book tickets straight to Banff just for these views! Event Stylist Stacey Foley thoughtfully chose the romantic color palette of blushes and nudes (among dozens of other perfect details) to coordinate with the deeply emotional day between these two and I’m sold. Elopement in Banff. Yes.
This couple’s style was so on point. The subtle plaid men’s suit by Ed Williams Menswear and a low back lace gown by The Bridal Boutique are a match made in heaven.
I am not going to lie, this tablescape totally made my jaw drop. I am dying over the blush linens by Special Event Rentals Banff and the large floral installation by Fox Glove Studio! The romantic color palette is perfect.
Some of these couple’s portraits are steamy! That is one of the loveliest perks to an intimate elopement: less fuss, more sweet moments just the two of you.
From Event Designer and Planner Stacey Foley: “Silence connects soulmates in a way words never could because their souls are speaking for them.” – N. R. Hart
She knew from the moment they looked into each others eyes that this man would change her world. He inspired her, he challenged her and he loved her in a way that no one ever had.
Their love was one of passion, connection and an undeniable depth that moved them through the challenges they faced. Two beautiful people, from two entirely different worlds, they let their story be more important then anything else. True honest love like theirs comes about but once in a lifetime and letting go was never an option.
When I sat down to create the editorial shoot for Joy Wed’s Fine Art Series I knew that the story would have an integral part to the overall design. I start every design process by first creating a story and then delving into the creative design with that always in my mind. This story was inspired by love that withstands the judgements of our society. Two people from completely different worlds yet they let nothing stand in the way of their love story.
I worked with an incredibly talented team of local Calgary vendors to bring this vision to life. Fox Glove Studio created the most exceptional floral arrangements that brought organic and romantic together in exquisite harmony while Art & Alexander’s calligraphy speaks to the very depths of my creative heart with its whimsical calligraphy and soft details. The pièce de résistance was the gorgeous 1952 Bentley from Highland VIP Group, Dorothy truly stole the show!
