Romance level 100! There’s nothing better than a fresh, classic, and romantic vineyard wedding (maybe that’s the wine-o in me talking?) and these photos by Ashleigh and Erik Photography are just wow. With spring and summer wedding steal-worthy ideas overflowing, one of our favorite moments had to be the remarkably gorgeous floral cake. It is just like the rest of Kalien and Kevin’s wedding: subtly gorgeous.
Kalien’s A-line floral applique gown made a statement and I love how she paired a sleek hairstyle with her romantic look. How proud does her father look! I adore moments like these…
I fell head over heels for the stunning property at Fess Parker Wine Country Inn in California. The vineyards are obviously beautiful, but the variety of locations offered for couples made it an ideal wedding venue!
…and finally, that California sun is giving me major wanderlust! The way the light played upon the fresh greenery-adorned tablescape and seemed to envelope both Kalien and Kevin? Too good!
From the planner, Kate at Wedding Kate… The first thing we loved about this venue was the outdoor space, you immediately were overcome with this elegant “backyard” feeling. The landscaping, the white exterior, the pergola, it all contributed to the feeling of being where you belonged. That is what this bride and groom also fell in love with, well aside from each other.
Kevin and Kalien hailed from Southern California but knew they wanted a wine country wedding. Exporting their guests from the beach life they all know and love in OC to the winding roads and slow pace of Los Olivos was therapeutic.
They chose a palette of sophisticated neutrals, peachy garden roses and soft greenery runners. Accented by personal elements and a couple so in love they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. The day was warm and clear, when the sun began to set the air smelled of rosemary from the Inn’s garden and the cool breeze was welcome by wedding guests.
The food made by the in-house restaurant, the Bear and Star was exceptional, all made from locally sourced ingredients. The couple noshed on artisan cornbread and sipped wine from the Parker Family vineyard, just down the road. The party was just getting started when the DJ played their first dance and the crowd joined them under the romantic pergola. The goal of creating a backyard wedding was most certainly achieved, and here’s to hoping that feeling of belonging lives through their marriage forever and always.
